We are a full service body piercing shop and offer anything within the standards of acceptable body piercings. At the time of your piercing we will give you a jewelry consultation, go over all aspects of aftercare for your specific piercing and answer any and all questions you may have. Also, at the time you leave Spear Me, we will give you an aftercare pamphlet which gives specifics to our cleaning regimen.
All equipment and jewelry we use is sterile and only removed from it's packaging in front of you at the time of your piercing. All of our needles are sterile, one time use and only opened at the time of your piercing. Every employee within Spear Me has gone through CPR certification, blood borne pathogen training, first aid in the work place certification.
We are also insured for body piercing and carry a regulated permit through the health department known as an Invasive Body Decorating Permit.
All of our body jewelry used for initial piercings are guaranteed from manufacturer defects. Also initial piercings are guaranteed to be free of infection for 1 week.
Basic ear piercing includes ear lobes up to the point where the cartilage starts. Although stud guns have been shunned in the piercing world we continue to use them because we use them properly! When a stud gun is used properly they work as well as a regular piercing. Stud guns are only used for proper sized earlobes and never used on cartilage piercings. We carry a wide variety of ear studs in stainless steel and 24k overlay. The overlay only becomes a problem when improper aftercare is used! Once your earlobes are pierced we provide you with the proper aftercare not only verbally but in writing as well.
We perform infant earlobe piercings as well. Infants are pierced with two body piercers at the same time for efficiency. Minimum age for infants is three months. Ideal age for infants to get their ears pierced is four to six months.
A dermal anchor is a single point body piercing that is more recognized as an implant in that it cannot easily be removed. They resemble a surface piercing only having one "top" as apposed to two. They can be placed much easier and with less healing time than a standard surface piercing. We have many tops to put on them, and the thread pattern is the current standard so you wont have to worry about trying to find extra beads as we only use this thread pattern. Healing is generally easy as long as our aftercare is followed. Removal of the dermal anchor is also an easy procedure that we can do for you at a reasonable fee.
