Our Piercers
Our dedicated employees, Lisa and Jayson, have expansive knowledge in every aspect of body piercing. Lisa has been piercing professional for over 10 years with us and prides herself in her ability to help clients realize their own body adornment fantasies. Jayson, with 7 years of professional piercing experience, has prided himself in his ability to keep the body piercing trend alive and new in this area by suggesting new and different piercings to our clientele.
Our Shop
Spear Me is a full service body piercing shop which only uses the highest quality jewelry and has, what we believe to be, the best aftercare regimen in the area. Our main jewelry companies are Industrial Strength, Body Vision, and Kaos Softwear. We also have one of the widest varieties of body jewelry in the area as well, so if your looking for something different, something very specific or just need something inexpensive to get you by for a while we offer it all!
Our History
The idea of starting this business originated back in the late
80's by the owners Perry and Starr, who at the time were just
getting into body piercing themselves. They would take weekend
jaunts to the bay area where they would get their
body piercings from The Gauntlet,
which now is one of the worlds most recognized piercing studios.
Realizing that going to San Francisco all the time for piercings was
becoming tedious, Perry and Starr began to experiment at home and
began to offer basic ear piercing at their hair salon. Then in 1993 the
demand for other piercings from customers pushed Perry to experiment
further and gain formal training from Michael Hare the owner of Exotic Body
at a three day tattoo convention in San Francisco. From 93 to 96
Perry and one of his coworkers Jessica preformed full body piercing
services within the salon under the implied name of Spear Me. Then in
1996 Jessica left the shop and Lisa came in as the new head body
piercer. Perry contacted Michael Hare who then came to the salon and
trained Lisa. The next year Spear Me became an official business. At
the time Spear Me was located inside the Silver City Mall, which was
soon to be torn down to make room for other business's, so in
December of 1999 the hair salon and Spear Me moved to it's current
location inside the Winnie Lane Shopping Center. Once Spear Me moved,
Andrew, Perry's son began piercing along with Lisa. Within a
year a neighborhood kid named Jayson started stopping by the shop on
a regular basis to discuss new types of jewelry and piercings he had
seen on the internet. The fact that Jayson was so interested in
piercing convinced everybody at the shop that he needed to work
there. So he was hired on as a backup piercer. Being that he was
only 17 at the time by state law he could not pierce so he spent the
better part of that year under apprenticeship with Lisa. Andrew quit
Spear Me to pursue college and almost 7 years later Lisa and Jayson
have remained as the sole body piercers at Spear Me.
New History:
At the beginning of 2008 Lisa left Spear Me to
pursue a carrier elsewhere, Jayson remains as the sole body piercer.
